Spring Lake Sparkle Celebrates 5th Season of Lights, Community & Holiday Cheer


Spring Lake, MI — Now in its fifth year, Spring Lake Sparkle returns to brighten the village with lights, music, family-friendly events, and heartwarming moments all season long. What began in 2020 as a grassroots effort has grown into one of the lakeshore’s most cherished holiday traditions—powered by local sponsors, volunteers, and generous community support.


The 2025 season kicks off with a full evening of festivities on Saturday, November 29, including live performances, the official lighting of the village, and a cozy afterparty at Temple Lounge.


Sparkle Kickoff — Saturday, November 29


Downtown Spring Lake + Epicurean Village


Kickoff Timeline:

  • 5:00 PM – Holiday music begins in the village

  • 5:30 PM – Grand Haven High School Varsity Dance Team performs inside Temple Lounge

  • 6:00 PM – Santa departs Temple Lounge and parades through the Village to Epicurean Courtyard

  • 6:10 PM – Kickoff ceremony hosted by Kirby Chittenden of Dunewood Technology

    • Welcome remarks

    • Sponsor recognition

    • Lighting countdown


  • 6:35 PM – Santa lights the village

  • 6:40 PM – Live performances in the Courtyard:

    • Luke and Olivia perform


  • 7:00 PM – Grand Haven Dance Team performs again in the Courtyard

  • 7:15 PM – Live broadcast with Kirby and WGHN

  • 7:30 PM – Santa House opens for free photos

  • Throughout the evening – Temple Lounge open with cocoa, cider, cookies, adult beverages, and holiday movies

  • Event concludes around 8:00 PM


Seasonal Highlights


Gingerbread House Making Class

Wednesday, December 4 · 5–7 PM

Spring Lake Township Community Center – 15549 Cleveland St.

Each guest receives a free gingerbread kit, with festive guidance from Chefs Patrik and Jeremy of The Lilley Mansion. Free with RSVP.


Santa House Hours

After the kickoff, Santa will be available for visits and free photos every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 5–8 PM throughout December.


Courtyard Choir Performances


  • Monday, December 16 – Spring Lake Choir & St. Mary’s Choir

  • Wednesday, December 18 – Spring Lake Choir


Harbor Transit Trolley Service

Free trolley service returns courtesy of Harbor Transit, operating from Holiday Inn to Orchard Market from November 29–December 20, 5–9 PM, excluding December 6.


Additional pop-ups, caroling nights, and festive surprises will be announced throughout the season.
